Best Ayurvedic Treatment or Cures for Dandruff

One of the main problems connected with the scalp is the dandruff. Here dead hair cells accumulate on the scalp as white flakes. This weakens the hair and cause hair fall. If it is in excess, it may fall on your shoulders, eyebrows and the clothes you wear. Dandruff may be caused due to stress or any other health problems, and also due to the dryness of the scalp. There are many ayurvedic remedies for dandruff.

Ayurveda treatment for dandruff

Some of the Ayurveda Treatments for Dandruff are as follows:

Aloe Vera:

The thick colorless gel of Aloe Vera is an excellent remedy for dandruff and other  hair problems.  Apply the gel on your scalp well and leave it overnight. The next morning wash your hair with shampoo.

Almond oil with olive oil:

Almond oil and olive oil are best for a healthy hair and when mixed and applied on the hair, gives excellent results. After massaging your hair with oil, apply sugar solution on your hair and then wash off with a shampoo. Rinse the hair with tea water to give shine to it.

Amla paste:

Make a hair pack with amla powder, Tulsi leaves and water and rub it on your hair thoroughly. Leave it for 30 minutes and then wash the hair with water.

Black pepper powder:

Make a concoction of black pepper powder in milk, to which fresh lime juice is added. Rub it on your scalp well, leave for an hour and then wash with water. It solves all your dandruff problems and makes the hair grow well.

Camphor with coconut oil:

This was how grandmothers used to treat dandruff in the past. Here you have to mix a little amount of camphor in a bottle of coconut oil and keep it. Apply little of this oil daily on your scalp before going to bed. The camphor has great cooling effect and cools your scalp, reducing the dandruff in your hair.

Curd with lemon:

Take a bowl of curd and put the juice of two lemons in it. Gently massage it on to your scalp and leave it for some time. Then wash well with water. This is one of the oldest methods for removing dandruff. It cleans the scalp well and the curd moisturizes your hair.

Coconut with lemon:

Lemon is used for many of the hair treatments. Mix lemon juice in warm coconut oil and the apply on your scalp. Wait for half an hour and then wash off with a mild shampoo. Continue it for at least two weeks and you will see the change it brings to your hair.

Eggs:

Egg contains a lot of nutrients and therefore nourishes your hair. Mix egg and water and apply on your hair, and then wash off with water and shampoo. This fully clears off dandruff from your scalp.

Fenugreek seeds:

Soak fenugreek seeds in water overnight and then grind it in to a fine paste. Apply this on your hair and scalp and leave it for 30 to 45 minutes. Then rinse your hair well with water. This is an excellent remedy to remove dandruff from your hair. It is also very useful for curing hair loss.

Gram flour with curd:

Take curd in a small bowl and mix two spoons of gram flour and half a spoon of lemon juice. Massage this mixture well on to your scalp.  Wait for thirty minutes and then wash your hair. Curd and gram flower have great cleansing properties and cleans your scalp and the hair.

Hot oil massage:

Warm any oil like coconut oil, sesame oil, olive oil, almond oil or any other oil that you use and then apply it on your hair. This helps the hair root to absorb it deeply. Massaging your hair well with hot oil before going to bed is excellent for hair growth and getting rid of dandruff

Mint leaves with apple cider vinegar:

Take a cup of water and a cup of apple cider vinegar and let the mixture boil. Now add a few mint leaves to it and boil for some more time. Aloe it to cool and ten gently apply the mixture on your scalp with your finger tips. Let it dry and then rinse your hair.

Neem leaves with lemon:

Grind neem leaves and make it into a fine paste. Now add the juice of half a lemon to it and apply it on your scalp. Leave the mixture on your scalp for 30 minutes and them=n wash off with a mild shampoo. Using this twice a week gives the best results.

Sandalwood oil:

Apply a mixture of sandalwood oil and lime juice on the scalp and gently massage your scalp for a few minutes. Now wash off with lukewarm water. Other than removing dandruff, this mixture increases blood circulation on your scalp and strengthen the hair roots.

Shikakayee concoction:

Shikakayee mixed with fenugreek seeds and mint leaves is soaked in water and then applied in the scalp at night, before you go to sleep. In the morning wash the hair and the scalp well with warm water.

Vinegar ayurvedic remedy:

Vinegar is a good conditioner and also cleans dandruff. Take a cup of hot water and mix two tablespoons of vinegar into it. Apply in the scalp with cotton.

Wheat germ oil:

Massage your scalp thoroughly with warm wheat germ oil and the cover your head with a towel dipped in warm water and from whish the excess of water is squeezed off. Keep it covered for half an hour and the wash your hair with water. It conditions your hair and removes dandruff.
