This is a painful experience and causes a burning sensation in your chest. You need to treat it properly to get relief from it. This may be due to several reasons like obesity, pregnancy, overeating. Even when you consume certain food items, this may occur. Banana:

Instead of consuming fast food and fried snacks you must consume healthy snacks like banana. Banana is also filling and provides you a feeling of fullness. It has a neutral pH, which is 5.6. Banana contains certain substances that can suppress the secretion of acids in the stomach. You must consume fresh and yellow bananas. Melon:

As in the case of bananas, there are a few people who find that consuming melons make the symptoms of acid reflux worse. They have to avoid taking it.

Rice:

Rice is also good for getting relief from acid reflux. It is a complex carbohydrate and is very filling. Potatoes are also said to suppress symptoms of acid reflux.

Salad:

Salads are one of the excellent remedies for fighting acid reflux. They are filling and also low in calories and fat. But you must try not to include onions and tomatoes in salad and also avoid high fat dressings and cheese with salads.
