How to Reduce Hair Fall in Winter Season – Simple and Effective Tips
Hair fall is common problem found these days. The pollution, chemicals and stress adds to the issues. Though there can be a variety of reasons for this, a few steps to take good care of your hair will surely help you a lot. Winter season sees much more hair fall than the other seasons. It is mainly because of the dryness in winter and also the lack of enough nourishment.
There are the following homemade remedies which could help you combat hair fall in the winter season:
Onion
Chop onions, grind them into a fine paste and squeeze out the juice. Apply it on your scalp and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water and use a mild shampoo. Doing this twice a week will show great effects.
Henna
Henna is an age old favorite for combating hair fall. Take 60 gms of henna leaves, clean and dried. Add mustard oil or olive oil in a tin can, and boil this mixture till the leaves are completely burnt. Filter the oil and store it in an airtight container. Use this oil to massage your hair. Massage for 15 minutes, and leave it overnight before washing off. It will help in keeping your hair and scalp away from dryness.
Garlic
Crush a few cloves of garlic after removing the skin, add a little coconut oil and mustard oil, and boil it for a few minutes. Let it cool down, and then apply this warm oil to your hair and scalp. Leave it for about half an hour and wash off using a mild shampoo. You could do this twice or thrice a week.
Fenugreek
Soak fenugreek seeds overnight and blend the seeds with lemon juice in the morning, along with some curd. Apply this mask on your hair for 45 minutes and wash off using lukewarm water and a mild shampoo. Do this once a week to help control hair fall.
Coconut
Coconut is really good for the hair. Pure coconut oil does magic on your hair, and also your skin. Coconut milk is another remedy for hair fall. Grate coconut and squeeze out the juice from it. Apply this mixture on your hair, leave it overnight and wash off with water the next morning. It helps reduce thinning and balding.
Neem leaves

Boil a few neem leaves in coconut oil for half an hour. Let it cool, and store it safely. Apply this oil on your hair, massage well and leave it overnight for best results. In the morning, wash off with a mild shampoo.
Lemon

Mix lemon with some curd, and apply on your hair and scalp. Leave it on for 45 minutes and then wash off using a mild shampoo. It treats dandruff and also reduces hair fall.
Egg white
Egg white contains proteins which nourish your hair. Take the white of 2 eggs and a tbsp of olive oil. Make it into a paste and apply on your hair and scalp. Let it sit for 20 minutes and wash off with a mild shampoo. Doing this twice a week is helpful.
Mashed banana

Take a banana and mash it well, add a tsp of olive oil or almond oil and apply on your hair. You can wash it off after 20 minutes. Doing this twice or thrice a week is the best remedy in the winter season, as it is a great moisturizer.
Hibiscus

Crush a few hibiscus flowers; add 2 tsp amla powder and coconut oil or sesame oil. Apply this mask on your hair and leave it for a few hours. Wash off with mild shampoo and lukewarm water. It is recommended that you do this at least once every fortnight.
